This morning we had a great 2 family services at church, then after church I went to the grocery store on the way home "for a couple of things".
About a hundred of my closest friends and I were in our little rural Food Lion, it reminded me of the scene near the beginning of A Christmas Carol where Bob Cratchit is coming home from work and buys the Christmas goodies like chestnuts, "punch", etc. in the market.
If you have never seen the 1938 version with Reginald Owen as Scrooge, I recommend it. It has the best representation of this market scene of any of the versions I've seen, and I've seen a bunch of them!
This afternoon I'm wrapping, cooking (yes, this creature will be "stirring"), and maybe resting a bit!
Peace on Earth!
